Founded by Chantal Hanzi to supply the Swiss market with quality Spanish products, import-export company Hawo Fruits has since enjoyed sustained growth. Today the firm is investing in warehouse automation, which has raised optimisation levels by 40%.
“There is more interest in health and the environment and the organic trend is here to stay,” said Marià Cabré, commercial director.
From the company’s 10,000m2 logistics centre, it distributes more than 150 types of organic fruit and vegetables to over 16 countries. All products have organic and biodynamic (Demeter) certification.
“Our goal is to offer our customers top-quality organic products,” Cabré said.
