Champs Elysees ship of CMA CGM Company made its first stop in Spain

Since December 20 of 2020, Algeciras Port operates the Champs Elysees of CMA CGM, the second megaship (more than 23,000 teus) which is powered by Natural Gas (GNL). This novel giant, 400 m long, 62 m large, arrived to semi-automatic terminal in order to load the merchandise to be exported to the Far East.  Champs Elysees of CMA CGM is the “twin” of Jacques Saadé, which stopped at Algeciras last November during its inauguration trip.

Handling 4.7 million tons or 37% of the Spanish horticultural cargoes, Algeciras Bay Port became one of the principal ports for fruit & vegetables operators
