After carrying out a rigorous analysis, HORTYFRUTA has decided to deactivate the Extension of the Standard of quality after the favourable developments seen in the past days in the market situation for long-black aubergines.

Therefore, as of November 8, second-class categories of this vegetable will be marketed again for fresh consumption by all the producer and marketer operators in Andalusia.

HORTYFRUTA will continue analysing the market situation for the products it covers and will assess the measures to be taken for each product.

HORTYFRUTA was established in 2007 to represent and defend the common interests of Andalusian fruit and vegetable sector.

The following are members of HORTYFRUTA: Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (ASAJA Andalusia), Association of Alhondiguista Marketers of Andalusia, Association of Cooperatives of Granada, Provincial Association of Agrarian Cooperatives of Seville, Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organizations of Almería (COEXPHAL), Andalusian Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organizations (APROA), Andalusian Agro-food Cooperatives, Andalusian Federation of Associations of Fruit and Vegetable Marketers (ECOHAL), Union of Farmers and Ranchers (COAG Andalusia), Union of Small Farmers and Breeders (UPA Andalusia).
