Laos is to export its first shipments of China in 2022, with over 50,000 tons expected to be sent, worth US$50 million. The fruits include oranges, pomelo and lemons, and will be transported to China in the next few months. These plans were agreed last week by Laos’ Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Phet Phomphiphak, and Ni Yuefeng, a senior Chinese customs official from China, who signed a memorandum of understanding.
