BOLZANO, 5 December 2022 – From international to domestic markets, from integrated agriculture to organic farming, and from trade events to consumer communication. Between November and December, the VOG Consortium is taking its Home of apples to a comprehensive series of international trade fairs devoted to the fruit and vegetable, food, organic and apple sectors.
The schedule began on 2-4 November with a focus on internationalization at Asia Fruit Logistica, a key event for establishing new relationships in the Asian markets, which are increasingly important destinations within VOG’s export strategies. VOG also brought the new RedPop® apple to the Bangkok event, an apple that is well suited to the Far East and Southeast Asia, both in terms of its characteristics and its image, as was immediately clear from tests in recent years.
“Asia Fruit Logistica was a success, a fair packed with promising meetings where we gained new knowledge and insights into the Asian markets,” comments Hannes Tauber, marketing manager at VOG. “We would like to thank Assomela for its organization, which allowed us to stand united in promoting South Tyrolean and Italian apples.”
Organic production, 30,000 tonnes of apples available 12 months a year, was also highlighted by VOG’s trade fair attendance. VOG’s organic range was presented to passionate consumers and professionals in this segment at Biolife, the fair dedicated to a mindful lifestyle at Fiera Bolzano (3-6 November). The Consortium, a guest at the Bioland stand, also received a visit from the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty Francesco Lollobrigida.
Turning to the b2b and international target, VOG also participated in the Nordic Organic Food Fair in Malmö (16-17 November). The fair is a reference point for trade operators in Scandinavia and Northern Europe dealing with organic and sustainable consumption.
“Organic production is an important part of the Consortium’s apple assortment and completes a range that can meet every need,” explains VOG CEO Walter Pardatscher. “With the Nordic Organic Food Fair, we have established new relationships in markets with a particularly high attention to the organic segment and a strong focus on sustainability issues.”
The month’s events ended from 17-19 November with Interpoma, the international trade fair entirely devoted to apples. This was an unmissable event for a company like VOG, whose “Home of apples” tagline speaks volumes about its specialization and positioning for the entire sector, from production to marketing.
“The trade fairs in which we chose to participate have covered all the values of Home of apples,” concludes Tauber, “from origin, celebrated at Fiera Bolzano and recognised as a symbol of excellence by the international markets, to expertise, at the centre of discussions that will be held at Interpoma, via sustainability and culminating with our rich assortment of products and brands, which makes it possible to offer – in such different contexts – the right apple for every need, throughout the calendar year.”
VOG’s initiatives are not ending in late November: from 3 to 11 December, the Consortium is presenting the work of its members, 4,600 families who grow their apples in the heart of South
Tyrol – Südtirol, at Artigiano in Fiera, the Fiera Milano event dedicated to the best artisan and regional excellence.
