The city of Valencia will host the first ever International Citrus Congress (CITRUSFORUM), which will take place over two days of technical sessions in June 2022. The event, organised by Agromarketing España (www.agromarketing.es), will have the collaboration prestigious research centres, as well as leading companies in the sector which will present the latest developments in citrus.

The biennial congress will be held in a hybrid format this year, with technical presentations and in-person round tables, and other presentations via videoconference. The event will be broadcast online through the leading Spanish-language agricultural training platform for audiovisual content Agromunity (www.agromunity.com), with more than 12,000 registered professionals.

CITRUSFORUM will contribute to the transfer of knowledge in a highly changing sector with a great capacity for digitisation and innovation. In addition, it aims to be the meeting point for producers, researchers, marketers and professionals of the auxiliary industry of the citrus sector for which the organisation plans to hold different coffee breaks among attendees, as well as having an area enabled to be able to conduct professional meetings.

The technical programme will be divided into blocks. Some topics will focus on smart fertigation, pests and diseases, genetic improvement and new varieties, modernisation of crops, post-harvest marketing or organic farming.

Those interested in attending can now pre-register on the official website of the Congress www.citrusforum.es.
