Representatives of institutions, sectoral organisations, companies and certification committees are coming together once again to support the fifth edition of Organic Food & Eco Living Iberia, the leading professional event for the organic sector at international level, which will be held on 4 and 5 June 2024 at the IFEMA fairgrounds in Madrid.

Co-organised by Diversified Communications and IFEMA MADRID, Organic Food & Eco Living Iberia 2024 will have the support of Ecovalia as main sponsor, the support of Alimentos de España, INTERECO, ICEX, Agrobio Portugal, Portugal Foods, ACES, AER, CIAO-IICA, CAAE, ASOBIO, CAERM, CAECV, CAEM, Biocop, Biogran, Proexport, FIAB, Fedacova and FiBL, and the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Valencia, Navarra, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia and Extremadura, among others.

The fair, already well-established in Spain and Portugal, has become a key space for the promotion and visibility of the organic food industry. “Organic Food Iberia offers organic producers a formidable opportunity to make themselves known, strengthen commercial relationships and conquer new markets, while at the same time providing great visibility to this highly professional and innovative sector. I encourage all Spanish producers to be part of this fair to continue strengthening and consolidating this industry and making our country ‘the richest country in the world’,” explains José Miguel Herrero, Director General of the Food Industry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA).

Along the same lines, María Naranjo, Director of the Food Industry at ICEX, emphasises: “The international visibility that Organic Food Iberia gives to buyers from all over the world is unbeatable. ICEX will continue to support the fair with a mission of international buyers”.

With the aim of continuing to expand internationally, the new edition will be attended by pavilions from all over the world, including Austria, Germany and Japan. The fair is also renewing its strategic alliances with its partners for 2024.

“Organic Food Iberia has been leading the way, without losing focus, in presenting excellent organic companies and products to the market. The 2023 edition was a success and the 2024 edition will be another step in the growth and affirmation of OFI as a landmark in the food and beverage sector,” adds Deolinda Silva, President of Portugal Foods.

In this sense, the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission for Organic Agriculture (CIAO), Graciela Lacaze, points out that “the international presence and reach that Organic Food Iberia offers are fundamental to strengthen trade and relations between producers and buyers from all over the world”.

“Organic Food Iberia is a meeting point to celebrate, claim and give visibility. Its international dimension provides organic operators with a unique tool to promote and position their products. At INTERECO we will continue to collaborate in this fair, checking the rigour of the participants and ensuring that all the territorial agents involved are represented”, says José Costoya, Intereco’s Institutional Coordinator.

“It is an ideal opportunity to bring together producers and marketers in a professional environment and demonstrate the power of a sector that is maturing and increasingly needs the knowledge of the whole population, not only from the goodness of organic production, but also on the excellence of the products,” says the President of the Association of Spanish Supermarket Chains (ACES), Aurelio del Pino.

“Organic Food Iberia is positioning itself as the sector’s leading trade fair in Spain. It is a time to share news with our current and potential customers and interact with other players in the sector. A key date in the BIO calendar”, says David Caré, General Manager of Biogran.

Biogran, Biocop, Cantero de Letur, Jabones Beltrán, Casa Grande de Xanceda, Banban, Nutland, Natursoy, Verdis Nature, Natureco, Alternativa3, Alternatur, Oh My Koko Cosmetics, Delicatalia, Bras del Port, Jimmy Boyd, Natural SHUI, Bodegas Pranach, Linwoods and Hort del Silenci are some of the exhibitors that have already confirmed their participation in Organic Food & Eco Living Iberia 2024.
