Interpoma, the only international trade show dedicated to apples, to be held at Fiera Bolzano from November 15 to 17, has enriched its program with a series of guided tours reserved for apple sector professionals and the press. A total of nine daytime tours are planned to be done during the days of the fair, in order to discover all the secrets of apple production in Trentino Alto Adige. The Interpoma Innovation tours and the Melinda Tour are this year’s big news. Thursday will concentrate on the more traditional tours concerning the organic sector, while on Friday the focus will shift to innovation and technology, involving among others visits to NOI Techpark – the South Tyrol technology park that brings businesses, researchers and students together to generate innovation -, to local apple farms and checking stations for spraying equipment. On Saturday morning, it will be the turn of Melinda Tour, starting with its visitor centre and followed by a trip to the “underground cells”, vast galleries carved out of the rock, 275 m below the surface that are used to store apples. Reservations are already available online on the tours page of the official website: www.fierabolzano.it. After Bolzano, Interpoma will move to Shanghai, China, from the 15th to the 17th of April 2019 for its third edition in the Asian continent.
