Fruit Logistica, the leading international fair for fruits and vegetables, will sponsor this year’s annual convention of the fruit business association of Catalonia, Afrucat. Under the motto “A trip to the future: artificial intelligence vs. collective intelligence”, the event will explore technological innovations to streamline processes and control quality.

Silvia de Juanes, representative of FRUIT LOGISTICA for Spain, Andorra and Gibraltar, said: “The Catalan fruit sector, and Afrucat as a reference association with more than one hundred associated companies, have participated as exhibitors in Berlin since the beginning of the event. That is why for us to be sponsoring your convention is a pleasure and even more so this year in which its central theme converges with one of the central axes for FRUIT LOGISTICA 2024: innovation through technology.”

Cutting-edge technology will also be the protagonist at the next edition of FRUIT LOGISTICA, which will take place from February 7 to 9 at Messe Berlin. The new Smart Agri area will allow international exhibitors to showcase their digital solutions for precision agriculture. In the Tech Stage conference series, speakers from around the world will present technical solutions with applications from the field to the point of sale. Finally, the Startup Day and the Startup Stage will be the meeting points between startups and established companies to share the most futuristic ideas and innovations.

The FRUIT LOGISTICA events and sponsorship programme in Spain will conclude this year at the same point where it began: Almería. It will do so at the 17th International Conference of Fruit and Vegetable Producer Organizations: ICOP. The event, which for the first time is taking place in Almeria, will take place from November 22 to 24. FRUIT LOGISTICA collaborates year after year with this key event for European agri-food professionals.
