US$ 100 million worth of business generated at Taiwan Agriculture Week 2018

The Taiwan Agriculture Week 2018, organised by My Exhibition, was a resounding success. The event attracted 166 exhibitors from over 13 countries. With over 270 booths, the total exhibition area covered 6,000 meters squared. The three-day expo attracted 6,500 visitors, including 450 professional buyers from 25 countries.

The theme of this expo was “Turn Smart” and exhibited state-of-the-art agricultural equipment, fresh fruits and vegetables, flora vegetation and cold chain logistic equipment & services, attracting the attention and recognition of many expert buyers. Among them was Mr. Lee of China Chongqing Fruits and Vegetables, who came to Taiwan a few years ago. He deems Taiwan’s agriculture as more refined, innovative and able to produce satisfactory solutions for “Smart Environment Solid Green House” and optimal agriculture technology development. Lee also participated in the cooperation appointment between participating businesses.

To enhance the expo benefits, over 110 international buyers were invited to Taiwan. The event’s 392 one-on-one procurement meetings allowed direct contact between buyers and participating businesses, thereby increasing chances of successful deals. Foreign buyers will be able to better understand Taiwan’s refined agriculture development skills expected to create US$1billion in business opportunities. Invited buyers include companies from all around the world seeking smart agriculture materials, innovative agriculture machines, cold chains and refined fruits and vegetables.

One-on-one procurement meeting, conferences and 16 “INNO Products & Technologies Presentation” attracted the attendance of over 500 businesses during the expo. International forums included “International Symposium on Greenhouse Horticulture”, “Smart Agriculture Symposium”, “Importing U.S. Agricultural and Food Products – Trends and Opportunities”, “Cold Chain Workshop”, “Supply chain management, from production site to the table”.
