The first container of Sweeki branded kiwis arrived from Chile in the port of Shenzhen, South-West China. The container, directed to the Chinese clients, is the first of the shipment plan of Origine Group for the Asian markets, that will continue for several weeks.

“Sweeki kiwis – says Origine Group general manager, Alessandro Zampagna – will reach the markets of different Asian countries, where they will be sold until October, both loose and in clamshells, in small shops and supermarkets”.

Sweeki is the top quality kiwi of the consortium Origine Group, that was set up by 10 leading fresh fruit and vegetable companies in Italy and Chile.
Sweeki kiwi follows tight quality standards, regarding sweetness, form and firmness. These standards are valid for both Italian and Chile origins, in order to assure to the clients premium kiwis all the year round.

Origine Group / Facts
The consortium Origine Group was founded August 2015 from the strategic alliance between several companies, leaders in the Italian and European markets in the production and trading of fresh fruit and vegetables. The consortium – established by Afe, Apofruit, Fruit C2, Gran Frutta Zani, Kiwi Uno, Op Kiwi Sole, Pempa-Corer, Salvi-Unacoa, Spreafico and the Chilean group Del Curto – represents companies already firmly present on the domestic and international markets, with a total turnover of over 900 millions euro, which have joined their resources to provide a top quality product, working together on innovation and new varieties to look out into new emerging markets. This new alliance initial focus is in two outstanding products, pears and kiwi, but the goal is to widen the interest also in other products. The production potential is over 200.000 tons of kiwi and pears. Two brands available: Sweeki for kiwi and PeraItalia for pears.
