Interpoma Business Match to connect the apple sector

Interpoma Business Match to connect the apple sector

Due to the Covid-19 health emergency, the apple sector must also go online. That’s why Fiera Bolzano is launching the innovative Interpoma Business Match initiative. It is an exclusive online event, scheduled for November 19 and 20, which will allow the sector’s professionals to get in touch with potential exhibitors, suppliers, and business partners. Fiera Bolzano created this completely free initiative in collaboration with the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce and EEN Enterprise Europe Network. This congress represents a great opportunity to establish international contacts, sell specialized products and services, and discover innovative solutions throughout the apple sector. The event will bring together representatives of the sector’s traditional and organic production, equipment and machinery for the cultivation, harvesting, processing, and packaging of apples, control systems, data processing and computer programs, measurement and control systems, storage and logistics systems, fertilisers, supply for nurseries, information, and advice.

In addition, Interpoma Business Match will allow companies from all over the world to present their news and advances in an online marketplace. Each member of the platform will have their own virtual space in which they can upload multimedia content, text, and images, allowing them to directly present themselves to other professionals interested in having virtual business meetings. The meetings will last approximately 20 minutes and each participant will be able to prepare their own agenda directly on the platform. The B2B meetings are aimed at apple growers, buyers and importers, agricultural equipment dealers, scientific and research institutions, and start-ups in the agricultural sector.

Thomas Mur, director of Fiera Bolzano, said: “The traditional biennial appointment with Interpoma has been postponed until 2021. However, the apple sector can’t and must not stop. That’s why we are pleased to announce the launch of the Interpoma Business Match initiative, a digital platform with immediate availability and great potential that will bring together all the most important international players in the apple sector for two full days.”

Registration is open at Interpoma website until November 18.

VSSE forced to cancel expoSE and expoDirekt 2020 trade fairs

VSSE forced to cancel expoSE and expoDirekt 2020 trade fairs

Due to a surge in Covid-19 infections across Europe and Baden-Württemberg now being declared a risk area, the Verband Süddeutscher Spargel- und Erdbeeranbauer e. V. (VSSE – Association of asparagus and strawberry growers Southern German) has had to cancel the two trade fairs expoSE and expoDirekt: The 25th expoSE – Europe’s leading trade fair for asparagus and berry production – and the 10th expoDirekt – Germany’s largest trade fair for direct agricultural marketing from November 18 to 19, 2020 at the Messe Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre, Germany).

Simon Schumacher, VSSE board spokesman and organiser of the trade fairs, said: “We had done everything to ensure that our trade fair duo can take place successfully under Corona conditions. Unfortunately, the current situation forces us to cancel the fair after all. The countries from which our exhibitors and visitors come are increasingly becoming risk areas. The number of cancellations from exhibitors is increasing, our website recorded a sharp drop in access in October, which indicates a decrease in the number of visitors. Under these conditions, we can no longer guarantee the success of the trade fair duo with satisfied exhibitors and visitors.”

The VSSE reimburses the exhibitors for the costs of services not provided. Visitors will be reimbursed the ticket costs. The next trade fair duo expoSE and expoDirekt will take place from November 17 to 18, 2021 at the Messe Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center) in Germany.
