A major order from a renowned European customer marks another milestone in KRONEN’s success story: KRONEN engineers have developed an automated bell pepper processing line according to specific customer requirements. It consists of two GEWA 5050V PLUS Bell Pepper washing machines with built-in conveyor systems. Up to 7 tons/h of raw produce can be processed (approx. 5 to 5.5 tons of good product). The processing line will already be running in June 2014. These machines have been especially designed for washing and sorting sliced bell pepper (completely cut with core and kernels). One of the key features is an automatic separation method enabling different kinds of bell pepper (diced or sliced) to be processed.
