The premiere of the new platform for food technology, processing and packaging will take place at the Coex Center in Seoul, South Korea. Together with the parallel Coex Food Week, the established meeting place for the global food & beverage producers and dealers, the trade fair represents the entire value-added chain.
The 4th edition of HortEx Vietnam will take place from 17-19 March 2021 in the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. HortEx Vietnam is the first specialised exhibition and conference for horticultural and floricultural production and processing technology in Vietnam. HortEx Vietnam has built up a solid position as the leading exhibition for horticulture and floriculture for Vietnam and neighbouring countries.
HortEx Vietnam was first successfully launched in 2018. Over the past three editions, from 2018-2020, the exhibition attracted a total of 439 companies and welcomed over 13,836 trade visitors from Vietnam and abroad. For the coming years a further growth is expected.
HortEx Vietnam enables participants to meet key decision-makers, strengthen valuable contacts with customers and partners and explore the potential of this huge emerging market.
East Africa’s premier International food & agriculture exhibition is set to host exhibitors from over 26 countries in Nairobi from 18-20 November, 2020. FOODAGRO AFRICA 2020 will showcase top products, equipment and machinery. Building on the success of previous events, FOODAGRO AFRICA 2020 just gets bigger and better. Also contributing is the recognition of Kenya as one of the major access point in Africa and the huge volume of imports in the country for its own consumption for over 40 million consumers. Last year, Kenya imported goods valued at US$200 million and re-exported goods worth $520 million.
An enticing mix of consumer interaction and industry presence, the show boasts not only the highest attendance per day, but also the highest business dealings per individual. The number of exhibitors and visitors in 2020 is expected to rise by at least 20% since an aggressive campaign has been launched while celebrating the event’s 20th birthday. Trade visitors from all over East & Central Africa are being invited directly and in collaboration with several regional trade bodies in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Somalia, Mozambique & Congo.
This year’s show has an exciting line-up of both local and international companies and is an ideal platform for product launches, finding new buyers & distributors, promoting brand names & image, updating existing customers and updating oneself with the latest in the industry. The FOODAGRO AFRICA 2020 is the place to learn more about what’s new on the food, hotel, kitchen & agriculture scene and present your own products to consumers and potential clients. The experience and comments of exhibitors at previous events indicate substantial gains from unexpected foreign visitors and we strongly feel that a rise in such statistics would ensure business, especially for the foreign participants, who form almost 80-85% of the exhibition.
The AgroExpo exhibition was organised in 2019 for the sixth consecutive year with great success. Over 25,000 attended the event at which there were 50+ exhibitors, more than happy with their participation and also with the whole organisation. Business professionals and the general public had the opportunity to see and examine products, materials and services and discuss trade issues with the participating companies.
This year, the organisers will do their utmost to persuade more companies to participate since this trade exhibition directly relates to their business and it should be looked upon as a great opportunity to strengthen the ties between buyers and sellers. The AgroExpo exhibition 2020 will be staged in Pavilions No. 5 and No. 4 at the Cyprus International Fair Grounds and also in outdoor exhibition facilities. The exhibition is scheduled for 23-25 October 2020. The participation interest has so far been tremendous and we expect to organise the exhibition with more than 70 exhibitors.
At the same time we are doing everything possible to increase and encourage trade visitors to attend the exhibition. This exhibition after all belongs to the farmers and related end users and their mass presence has already made the AgroExpo exhibition a very important yearly specific event.
Following the successful closure of the first digital edition of United Fresh, the organisers drew some positive conclusions for what was a memorable event. More than 12,500 attended the event, with more than 7,500 online at any one time. Over 1,000 joined the general sessions, while the workshops, coffee talk roundtables, networking receptions and morning fitness classes reached thousands more.
The Board of Directors made the decision to open up this platform free of charge, not just to United Fresh members, but to the entire industry. After debating charging a reduced fee, maybe even just $100, United Fresh decided to let attendees decide what this has been worth. No one knew what to expect in a virtual trade show and convention. Now we do.
This decision meant giving up US$1 million in direct registration revenue, and a large amount of exhibit fees were refunded to exhibitors who didn’t have the means to continue online. However, many exhibitors were able to stick by United Fresh, and there were many new exhibitors who joined in this new format. As the convention makes up 30% of the annual budget, the organisers are appealing for support from across the sector to keep it going. A statement read: “Please make an investment in our industry’s future and in United Fresh’s future so that we can continue to serve you by connecting and advancing the supply chain. The future will be different, and we think our industry will be different. But together, we can continue to increase the consumption of fresh produce and make a positive impact on the health and well-being of our world. Food will win.”

The Coex Food Week 2020 is one of the most anticipated international exhibitions in the Asian calendar, with 25% of exhibitors visiting from overseas. This year’s event will be held from November 25 to 28 at Coex Halls A, B, C in Seoul, South Korea. At last year’s edition, there were 872 exhibitors, with 65 representatives from 18 different countries around the globe, with over 1,900 booths. The event welcomed approximately 44,000 visitors from different parts of the world.
The exhibition is organised by Coex Co., Ltd and supported by the South Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Rural Development Administration, the Korea Food Research Institute, and the Korea Agency of HACCP Accreditation & Service.
Since 2013, it has been certified by the UFI (Union des Foires Internationales), and hailed as a ‘Promising Exhibition’ by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (formerly known as the Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy) in 2010.
The COVID-19 pandemic has led the organisers of the first Infoagro Exhibition Mexico to postpone the event to guarantee the health of exhibitors and visitors. Originally scheduled to take place from May 6 to 8, it will now be held from July 1 to 3, 2020, when it is hoped the situation will have improved enough to allow the first international fair for intensive agriculture and auxiliary industry in Latin America to go ahead. The organisers have assured attendees that all the necessary measures will be in place to guarantee their safety.
The event will take place at the Mazatlan International Center (Mazatlán, Sinaloa), and will pay homage to the efforts of the agricultural sector to guarantee the supply of food throughout the world. The expo will also offer a golden opportunity for companies dedicated to agricultural production and for the auxiliary industry to strengthen their ties and ensure a full economic recovery after such difficult moments.
