Since its debut in Spain at the Fruit Attraction fair in Madrid in October, Ambrosia – an apple combining sweet taste, low acidity and a crisp bite – has been winning over more Spaniards via a campaign involving promotions at major fresh food markets.

Designed to raise awareness of Ambrosia’s great taste and high quality, tastings took place at the wholesale markets Mercamadrid and Mercabarna and also at two retail markets in Madrid, Mercado de Chamartín and Mercado de la Paz (main picture, above), and two in Barcelona, Mercat de la Concepció and Mercat del Ninot.

A brand spokesperson said both fruit vendors and consumers were particularly taken with Ambrosia’s colour, a distinctive mix of yellow and red.

Ambrosia will be available in greengrocers until April.
