Mango: increasing demand from non-traditional markets
Global imports of fresh mangoes, mangosteens, and guavas totalled 2.1 million tons in 2021, up 5% on 2020. The US and the EU remained the two leading global importers. Higher imports from several emerging markets – notably Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the Russian Federation – further contributed to the overall growth in global imports.
