UNICA to display entire catalogue at Fruit Logistica
For three days in Berlin, UNICA will show off its full commercial potential presenting its innovations in packaging and products and its firm commitment to sustainability. At such a key moment, it is more important than ever to have reliable and strategic partners like UNICA, who provide volume, variety and supply capacity.
UNICA will be in Berlin to meet established clients as well as potential new clients showcasing its project based on innovation, supply reliability, sustainability and a wide catalogue.
Trends and new formats
The dip format and vegetable spreads are becoming increasingly popular as they fit in with new forms of consumption. Along these lines, UNICA brings to Messe Berlin its already washed and cut specialties of snack cucumber, sweet bite pepper, cherry tomato and carrot sticks, as well as its new vegetable sauces for dipping (hummus and tzatziki). As a result of the firm’s R+D+i work, it has developed an optimised container that fully protects sauces. In addition, a more sustainable form of packaging has been designed from recycled plastic with a percentage coming from the oceans, within the Prevented Ocean Plastic initiative.
UNICA will also present other new popular alternatives such as meal kits and wok-format trays. Its snack range includes raw/microwaveable sweet potato sticks and mini-sized sweet potato for microwaving.
For the first time, the company Bonafrú will be presented in Berlin as a new partner of UNICA. The firm’s berries have high nutritional value, are greatly appreciated in the markets and complete the catalogue of the second-degree cooperative.
Other new products on display include Sacrum, a tomato that recalls the flavour of the tomatoes our grandparents grew and which does not need any dressings to become the heart of a salad. Tiger cherry and Wabi-Sabi tomato will also feature.
