With a 62-year track record, San Miguel is acknowledged by its 200 customers in over 50 countries as a reliable citrus producer, maintaining high quality standards, but most of all as a long-term partner, sharing values and working methods that respect people and are environmentally friendly.

San Miguel is the only fruit and vegetable company in the region with production operations at different points of origin (multi-sourcing), with farms and strategic industrial operations in Argentina, Uruguay and South Africa. The firm’s business model is vertically integrated and includes all processing stages of the value chain. The company cultivates and produces its own plants, from which it obtains the raw materials that it later markets as fresh fruit or different varieties of processed foods (juices, rind, oil or pulp). San Miguel maintains total control over the genetic engineering and development of its plantations, as well as fruit harvesting, packing, fruit processing, brand management, trading and logistics for its produce, destined for the world’s most demanding markets.

Positioned as Argentina’s main lemon exporter and one of the major citrus exporters from Uruguay and South Africa, San Miguel exports on average roughly 100,000 tons of fresh fruits yearly, with a balanced assortment including lemon and sweet citruses (mandarins, oranges and grapefruit).

The company also markets value-added foodstuffs derived from the processing of 400,000 tons of citruses annually, produced both at its grinding plant in Argentina and facilities in Uruguay and South Africa, respectively.
