Sakata revolutionises winter broccoli with Ulysses
This new variety has been designed for complicated winter harvests. Thanks to its versatility and high yield, it can be harvested right through four months – from December to early April – with consistent quality.
Antonio Ibarra, chief of Brassicas said:
“As well as its high-quality heads, Ulysses’ strong performance in the open field and the uniformity of its tight domes provide producers with a key advantage. Ulysses also offers stability throughout the cycle despite the sudden changes in temperature typical in Spain.”
He added:
“This is the most important new variety in Sakata’s history since Parthenon was introduced in 2005.”
