UK supermarket chain Sainsbury’s has completed a multi-million upgrade to its superstore in Streatham Common, with the aim of creating a fresh, new look and feel and to make shopping more convenient and enjoyable. The refit included transforming the fresh produce offer to put it front and centre in the store, as well as installing a new hot food counter, reorganising the layout and refreshing the signage.

Other upgrades included installing brand new refrigeration equipment, which is also designed to make the store more energy efficient as part of Sainsbury’s wider sustainability project, Plan for Better.

Patrick Dunne, Sainsbury’s property director, said: “We’re constantly investing in our store estate to ensure we provide the best offer we can to the communities we serve, and it’s great to be able to do this whilst also making improvements to reduce the amount of energy used instore.”
