Peruvian exports to Asia soar
Peru’s agri-exports to Asia were up 22% in first 9 months of 2020. As the Official Country Partner in the Asia Fruit Logistica ON exposition, export promotion agency PromPeru organised a series of events to promote the country’s sectorial brands, including Super Foods Peru.
In the past 10 years, PromPerú has worked closely with the sector to open up new markets in Asia for its grapes, blueberries, avocados, mandarins, and pomegranates, among others. Asia is now the third most important market for Peruvian agro-exports, accounting for 9% of total exports.
