The next edition of Alimentaria will be held from March 18 to 21, 2024, at Barcelona’s Fira de Gran Via. The most transversal and complete international event for the food and hospitality industry and its entire value chain is organised by Alimentaria Exhibitions, a Fira de Barcelona company, will highlight the capital importance of the meat industry and services for the Horeca channel. For this, it will have a broad representation of the main companies and associations of these sectors, both nationally and internationally.

Alimentaria’s offer will be structured into nine sectoral shows: the ‘veterans’ Intercarn, Restaurama, Interlact, Expoconser and Snacks, Biscuits & Confectionary, along with the newly created Coffee, Bakery & Pastry, Organic Foods, Fine Foods and Food Tech. To these will be added the transversal sectors Grocery Foods (consumer products), International Pavilions and Lands of Spain (which brings together the regions and autonomous communities), in addition to the Alimentaria Trends show, which includes areas for booming segments Vegan Foods, Free From (allergen-free foods), Halal Foods and Functional Foods.

The new president of Alimentaria, Antoni Llorens, said: “Another edition of Alimentaria will adapt to the needs of the sector and anticipate the trends and challenges it faces. We are preparing to offer the industry the necessary tools to compete in a changing market and open up new opportunities and continue to be, thus, a true transformation engine”.

In the last edition of Alimentaria, held together with Hostelco in April 2022, nearly 3,000 exhibiting companies participated, 29% international, and more than 100,000 visitors attended, 23% of whom came from abroad (150 countries).
