With over 78,000 employees working at around 1,300 sites in over 100 countries, the Kuehne+Nagel Group is one of the world’s leading logistics providers.

ONE, ten new container ships and new MIM service

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has signed ship building contracts with both Hyundai Heavy Industries and Nihon Shipyard for the construction of five vessels by each, thus adding a total of ten modern very large container ships (VLCS) to ONE’s fleet. These ships have a nominal capacity of more than 13,700TEU and are to be delivered in 2025. The vessels are designed with the highest efficiency standards and will feature a variety of cutting-edge technology to reduce navigational impacts on the environment. This fleet will enable ONE to broaden the exploration of long-term alternative fuels and decarbonisation technologies in the future. ONE is determined to become a leader in maritime decarbonisation and remains fully committed to sustainable marine transportation by achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
