Hail and rain damage tomato and pepper greenhouses in Turkey

Tomato and pepper greenhouses in Mersin have been destroyed by hail and heavy rains), which cannot be used anymore. The growers are asking for government support to help with losses to crops and to ten hectares of production facilities, valued at around US$300,000. With many of the growers already experiencing severe financial difficulties, without government support many will have to declare bankruptcy.
