Sales of organic products have been rising steadily in China, as consumers pay greater attention to their health. According to a 2022 report by the State Administration for Market Regulation, the market was worth 95.1 billion yuan in 2021, an increase of 18.3% over 2020. China is the world’s fourth largest organic market. Female consumers with children are the largest buying group.

A major supplier of organics in China is Hema Fresh, which provides guaranteed sales for its producers by connecting stable consumer groups, thus lowering costs and increasing efficiency. The co-constructed farms of organic fresh products at Hema Fresh have expanded from 4 to more than 100, covering more than 20 provinces and cities across the country.
