Colombia’s agricultural exports climb 38.8%

Colombia’s agricultural exports jumped by 38.8% in the first six months of 2022 compared to the same period a year earlier, with total exports worth US$6.12 billion, according to data from the country’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The agricultural and agroindustrial sector accounted for 21.4% of Colombia’s total exports in value terms. The main destinations were the US, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Spain, Japan, the UK, Italy and Egypt.

Exports of non-traditional grew by 36.2% and were worth US$2.28 billion. These products include Gulupa (+45%) and Tahiti lime (+81%). Colombia now has access for 67 agricultural products to 29 countries.
