China greenlights imports of yellow Ecuadorian pitahaya

Ecuadorian producers and exporters of yellow pitahaya are celebrating access to the lucrative Chinese market, following eight years of negotiations. The first volumes are set to arrive for week 12. A total of 33 farms, with a productive area of approximately 400ha, and the 19 distribution centres approved by the Chinese authorities will soon be able to start managing their first shipments.
