At the end of October, Carrefour announced the renewal of 11 of its “Carrefour Quality Lines” (titled “Filière Qualité Carrefour” in French, or FQC) and responsible supply chains with French farmers. These agreements are with suppliers of squash, leek, red beet and other fresh products. The group continues to pursue its goal of supporting French producers and offering customers quality products by accelerating the development of its FQC lines in favour of the food transition for all. In addition, Carrefour Socomo has signed agreements with two new FQC partners supplying lemons and mangoes in Spain. Since the launch of the FQC supply chain in 1992, Carrefour France has engaged with more than a hundred partners. These multi-party contracts commit the brand to producers and manufacturers based on defined volumes and prices for a renewable period of 3 years. Carrefour France has 5,200 points of sales distributed between its different formats of hypermarket, supermarket, proxy store and cash & carry outlets. The retailer employs 105,000 collaborators and serves more than 3 million customers every day.
