Peru’s Super Foods brand debuts at Expoalimentaria
Expoalimentaria - being held September 27-29 in Lima - will see the national launch of a brand heralding Peruvian foods such as quinoa, maca, lucuma, chia, avocado and blueberries. The new Super Foods brand is designed to highlight to visitors that Peru has one of best offerings in the world in terms of nutritious, healthy products, according to exporter association ADEX, organiser of Expoalimentaria. This year marks the 9th edition of this international trade show – considered the most important in Latin America – and it is once again expected to be a magnet for buyers from every continent, with about 650 Peruvian companies and many from other countries participating, as well as the opportunity to encounter more than 1,500 products. Expoalimentaria brings together the main sectors of the food, beverage, machinery, equipment, consumables, packaging, services, restaurants, gastronomy and now features new international pavilions for countries including China, Costa Rica, Portugal, El Salvador, Colombia and Chile. Furthermore, with the desire to provide visitors with a more enriching and interesting experience, Expoalimentaria offers visitors the opportunity to participate in complementary events. Among them is the 'Salon de Catas y Maridaje', 'Cacao and Peruvian Coffee for the World' and 'EA Culinaria' with a gastronomic program. The 'Innovation Hall' will showcase the finalists in a competition which rewards creativity and originality in the launch of innovative products. In addition, this year ADEX presents the 'Rincón Cervecero', a space to discover Peru’s most representative craft beers.
